The Director of Student Support Services


                  1.  Various meetings were facilitated with multiple departments under the umbrella of Student
                      Support Services throughout the month.

                  2.  Consulted with legal team regarding recommendations of high-profile cases within the
                      District.

                  3.  Began and ended the Extended School Year for students who had an indication on their
                      IEPs. Three classrooms were formed. Students were also provided with Speech and social
                      work services.

                  4.  Worked with a Kevin Baffoe to prepare for set up of the sensory rooms for each campus.

                  5.  Completed the IDEA application for the Consolidated Grant components for FY 21.

                  6.  Consulted with feeder school districts regarding supports needed as well as incoming
                      students.

                  7.  In collaboration with the Director of Curriculum and Data, consulted with representative
                      from Naviance and Transeo regarding our best options for serving our students for post-
                      secondary success, data collection for our school report card, and graduation requirements.

                  8.  Worked with CT3 regarding potential support for the District next year. The mission of is to
                      significantly improve the quality and culture of education for school-age children, especially
                      those in traditionally underserved communities. CT3 can assist us with building teacher
                      capacity in a non-evaluative manner to address the needs of our students.
                  9.  In collaboration with the Student Handbook Committee, reviewed and revised the student
                      handbook to include the vital components for the 2020-2021 School year. Some of the
                      major changes to the handbook included the new graduation requirements, flex mod-
                      scheduling, more information about supports and interventions that are provided for
                      students. The Student Handbook for the 2020-2021 school year has been submitted.

                  10. In collaboration with Trinity Services and Hartgrove behavioral Center, designed the mental
                      health supports that will be available to all students for the 2020-2021 school year.  Trinity
                      Services will be expanded to cover students at both campuses. Hargrove behavioral center
                      will provide us with higher level psychiatric services for students that are in need. We will
                      also have an educational liaison that will work with us to coordinate services for students
                      that may be receiving treatment as well as providing professional development for teacher.

                  11. Attended the Educational Partner Meeting.

                  12. In collaboration with the Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services and the Director
                      of Curriculum and Data, registered all Academy leaders for a thinking maps PD to assist
                      them in training teachers to promote thinking in the design of the classroom.

                  13. In collaboration with the Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services and the Director
                      of Technology, developed the components for registration for the 2020-2021 SY.
