Riley took 4 place overall in the Novice Poetry Division, and Lamine Sidime was awarded 4 place
th
th

performance.
The Remote Assistance Program has been expanded to include all grade levels. Students who require
additional support in the remote setting were invited to participate in the camp to get in-person support
from school staff. Over 40 students have shown up for the camp.
The last day for new instruction for all classes except advanced placement sections will be Friday,
th
December 4 . No new assignments should be entered in the grade book after next Friday. The final
two weeks of the semester will be dedicated to enrichment. During this time, students will be able to
redo, revise, and resubmit, assignments to improve their grades. Students with B's or better will be
exempt from attendance. All other students are required to attend in order to enhance their
mastery. Teachers will be expected to review, reteach, and provide more individual support to
students. This period of time provides an opportunity for students to increase the grade only.
The annual can good drive is underway. The Rich Township Key Club is challenging all
Rich227 clubs and athletic teams, Principal Varn and his administrative teams at FAC and STEM, and
Dr. Thomas and his District Administrative Team along with the Board of Education. The group that
donates the most non-perishable food items will be recognized. Donations can be dropped off at the
main entrance of either campus or district office.
