Climate and Culture
In collaboration with work groups and STAR Academy administration, and SEL Coach completed
initial implementation configurations for the SEL screener to be used as a pilot for students starting

February 9 . The SEL screener will be piloted with STAR Academy for this year. Staff training is set
for February 3, 2021.

Working with Truancy Team and 7 University, identified 200 students to receive mentoring. We
have 20 students that have been referred for additional support through our partnership with the
Matteson and Richton Park Police.
Professional Development

Facilitated and/or Collaborated

- CT3 all district admin training
- Ongoing Real-time Teacher Coaches-10 campus administrators
- TACTIC Trauma Informed Training-Institute Day
- Collaborated for Nurses COVID testing training.
- Collaborated for Hartgrove Behavioral Health System referral process-SEL team
- Collaborated with PCG to design co-teaching professional development for all co-teachers
across the district. There were over 50 participants for our January training that was focused on
backwards mapping.

The Director of Student Support Services attended various professional developments focused on
English Language Learners, return to instruction, legal updates, and other various ISBE webinars.

Grant Management

Submitted IDEA grant amendment to ensure equity and timelines
In collaboration with Suburban Juvenile Justice Council attended several meetings related to the
Violence Prevention Grant.

Began exploration to find a grant to continue our truancy program.

The Director of Curriculum and Data

University Partnerships
The second semester of the Early College Program is underway. There are currently 42 students
enrolled in courses at Prairie State College. The ECI programs include Early College, CNA, EMT, and
Dental Assisting.
We are enhancing our partnership with PSC by establishing a cybersecurity pathway. This will include
our seniors earning 30 hours of college credit towards an Associate's Degree with a focus on
cybersecurity.
