Buildings and Grounds

FAC Updates

• Working with Pepper Construction regarding closeout culinary kitchen project. Main gas shut
off is not operational. Pepper Construction scheduled repairs for Friday February 26, 2021.
• Renaissance and Access control completed in facing their systems for lockdown process. Next
step is to have Access control to program card access system for lockdown procedures , which
options are under reviewed
• Trane RTU 12 was under repairs for new motor and frequency drive
• The staff continues to follow Cov-19 cleaning protocol
• Staff is in progress with painting hallways, class room touch-up, lighting repairs – on going
Stem Updates
• Football field – working on removing snow from the field – on going

• Banner installation in hallways and main entrée way taking place
• Hallway stripping painting is on-going

Transition House

• Construction is ongoing. IDPH/ROE plumbing took place, some changes were requested.
Contractors working on. Overall construction in progress. New move date tentative march 15 -
23
• RFQ for security, burglar, and phone and card access has been awarded. Working with Ted
regarding scheduling start of work
General updates
• Design meetings with Pepper construction, STR and CS2 regarding mechanicals, space
renovations at both campuses. Walk through taking place regarding new electrical work for the
new Com Ed feeder Transformer for FAC campus
• Meetings and walk through with sub-contractors at Stem and FAC campuses
• Soliciting proposals for outdoor graduation ceremony
• Close campus reported leaks – scheduling roof company to make repairs
Reviewing and updating ML solutions system – on going

Information Technology

The Information Technology Department continues to support parents and students daily who are
experiencing Technology issues with devices or any other technology-related matters. Support is
provided over the phone, online and in-person.
