From The Director of Student Support Services


               Special Education

                  1.  Facilitated the special populations committee meeting consisting of teachers and
                      administrators. Students and parents were also invited to be a part of the committee. Worked
                      with the Special Populations committee to finalize recommendation for furniture for special
                      education classrooms.

                  2.  Collaborated with the Educational Services team on the e-learning and remote learning plan.

                  3.  Worked with a sensory room consultant in conjunction with the special populations
                      committee to review recommendations for Zen Zones for next year.

                  4.  Began working on Consolidated Grant components for FY 21.

                  5.  Submitted an amendment to the IDEA grant to include the funding
                  6.  Paraprofessional salary

                  7.  In collaboration with the realtor, viewed the property in Butterfield Plaza with the Transition
                      Team. We also identified other properties within the district’s boundaries at the following:

                  8.  Prioritized focus of Division Leads of Student Support Services’ work on increasing
                      alignment of process and procedures and IEP development and implementation.



               English Learners (Emergent Bilingual)

                  1.  In collaboration with the EL team across the district, continuing to identify needs for our
                      English Learners across the district.

                  2.  Worked in collaboration with Aaron Atchison to get the website with a translation
                      opportunity for our parents to receive and access information in their native language.

                  3.  Conducted ELL interviews with a team to identify qualified individuals for next school year.
