Special Education Department

Our special education team has weekly virtual meetings, with about 38 attendees, regarding the
delivery of services, support for students in general education classes, and creative ways to
differentiate instruction. Teachers of specialized populations go above and beyond in meeting the
unique needs of our students. When schoology does not yield the best results, you can find them
using several educational platforms like: remind, zoom, google duo, google hangouts, and google
               voice, to name a few.

Special Education Teachers continue to participate in IEP meetings daily. They also update relevant
information in IEPs to meet state and federal compliance guidelines. Our building goal was for our
IEPs to be 100% in compliance by the end of the school year, and we are well on our way at 96%
               compliance.
Our counselors, social workers, psychologist, nurses, and speech pathologists are finding unique
ways to provide related services and engage with students virtually to make sure their social and
emotional needs are being met, and all other identified needs outside of academics are being met.

               Human Resources

All District employees have been informed about the campus assignments for the 2020-2021 school
term. The District has received several resignations and will begin to call teachers back off of the
reduction in force list. During the COVID 19 pandemic, the District has conducted virtual
interviews with candidates and are on track for filling vacancies during the prime hiring season. To
expand recruiting opportunities the district has collaborated with Top Schools to advertise all
vacancies, which will reach a larger audience in an effort to recruit top talent.
