               Summer School

                  1.  The district’s 2020 virtual summer school programs are set to start June 1, 2020.  167
                      students have registered for our virtual credit recovery and Star Academy programs and to
                                                     th
                      make up incompletes from the 4  marking period.  Extended School Year (ESY) will also
                      be offered for our special education students.

                  2.  The RAMP UP program is scheduled to start June 8, 2020 for incoming freshmen and 7

                      and 8  graders who need academic recovery.


               Pilots for the 2020-2021 School Year


                  1.  Team-Taught Pre-AP World History and Geography and Reading Pilot


               Proposal

                  1.  The Team-Taught Pre-AP World History and Geography Pilot is team-taught with a reading
                                                                                                  1
                      and a social studies teacher. It will target students with a certain reading deficit.  It will
                                               2
                      replace their reading class.  This will be a one period class.  The course weight for the class
                      will be regular credit, and students will earn one credit for the full year.

                  2.  Students with severe reading deficits will still be placed in Reading I as determined by
                      placement criteria.

               Rationale


               The district is interested in the following:
