Special education teachers continue to participate in IEP meetings daily, as well as, update relevant
information in IEPs to meet state and federal compliance guidelines. Our building goal was for our
IEPs to be 100% in compliance by the end of the school year and we are well on our way at 96%
compliance.
Our counselors, social workers, psychologist, nurses and speech pathologists are finding unique
ways to provide related services and engage with students virtually to make sure their social and
emotional needs are being met and all other identified needs outside of academics are being met.
HUMAN RESOURCES
The Office of Human Resources is currently working with building administrators to ensure that
all certified positions are filled with highly qualified teachers. As a result of several resignations
the District has been able to recall certified and classified personnel from reduction in force list.
Human Resources is working with the master schedulers and educational services to ensure that
the new flex mode schedule is completed and that all students have innovative schedules and the
support needed to experience academic, social, and emotional success in the classroom.
COVID 19 UPDATE
The District has been extremely responsive to creating a safe environment for all essential workers
during the COVID 19 Pandemic. The District has provided personal protective equipment for
example mask, hand sanitizer, gloves, reduced the number of employees working and has
successfully practiced social distancing guidelines. Employees who may have been exposed to
the virus have diligently reported information to the District. One District employee was
diagnosed with the Corona Virus. The employee per medical advice quarantined for 14 days and
returned to work after the physician cleared the employee to return. Employees who may have
been exposed to the employee were notified. As of today no other employees have reported that
they were directly impacted by the virus; however, several employees have had loved ones
impacted by the virus some of which resulted in death.
RETIREMENT CELEBRATION
Due to the COVID 19 Pandemic, the retirement celebration was cancelled. The District has
ordered retirement gifts and the Superintendent, District and Building Information will hand
deliver the gifts to our retirees when they arrive. The District has also created a picture montage
to celebrate and honor the retirees. This tribute to the retirees can be viewed on the District’s
website.
