Student Support Services
Participated in introductory meetings with Hansra Consulting and Linden Oaks Behavioral Health
Systems for future collaboration for our communities.
Collaborated with Positive Action to bring training on the high school SEL kits for intervention
programs for students.
Collaborated with Advocate Health to get additional days for physicals, immunizations, and flu
clinic for our students.
Special Education
Collaborated with PCG to design co-teaching professional development for all co-teachers across
the district and provided training for staff on assistive technology for Rocket book and Scanning
Pens to provide more assistive technology that can be used by students.
Provided iTames training for Medicaid billing for clinicians.
Continued work with furniture consultant for furniture at the campuses and with Laserfiche to
develop a paperless filing system for special education records.
Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS)
Organized STAR Renaissance training for all teachers. Collaborated with PCG to support Multi-
Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) team. Implemented the STAR Assessment district wide to get
current levels of performance for students.
English Language Learners (ELL)
In collaboration with the Division Lead of Student Support Services and English Language
Learners (ELL) teachers, continued to facilitate a district wide ELL screener as required by ISBE.
Held quarterly Bilingual Parent Advisory Committee Meeting. Presented the Bilingual Spending
Plan to the parents, and submitted Bilingual Plan to ISBE.
Professional Development
Coordinated with educational partner, CT3, to get 80 staff members trained in No Nonsense
Nurturer training. The No Nonsense Nurturer professional development was provided to 70
teachers and 10 building administration. This will be the foundation to the real time teacher
coaching support where our administrators will be trained to coach our teachers.
The Director of Student Support Services attended various professional developments focused on
English Language Learners, return to instruction, legal updates, and other various ISBE webinars.
