Light frequency spectrum can be divided

into three general bands:

Ultraviolet

Band of light wavelengths that are too short to be

seen by the human eye.

Infrared

Band of light wavelengths that are too long to be seen

by the human eye

Visible

Band of light wavelengths to which the human eye will

respond.

REFRACTION

-When a light wave passes from one medium into a

medium having a different velocity of a change in the

direction of the wave will occur.
