Department of Industrial
Engineering and Management
Introduction
The department of Industrial Engineering and Management (IEM) was established in 1987. Along with the upgrading of
the school to technological university, in 1998 the systems for two-year and four-year curricula were also subsequently
established at our department. In 2001, a Master’s degree program was setup. Then in 2004, on-job training master
program was also launched. And the department of Industrial Engineering and Management will setup doctor degree
program in 2016. The objective is to cultivate high-level industrial management personnel with a view to meeting the goal
in terms of the currently industrial management globalization for personnel development.
In response to the changing trend of the times and the needs of industrial talents, this department cooperates with the
government's industrial structure optimization strategy (manufacturing wisdom, manufacturing service, service industry
technology, and traditional industry characteristics), curriculum planning and design content in addition to industrial
engineering. In addition to the management program, it also has industrial management, e-business, service innovation and
technology management. The four modules are as follows:
1.Human factor design and manufacturing
2.Statistical Quality Control and Measurement for Decision-Making
3.Industrial Management and Electronics
4.Service Innovation and Technology Management
