When I first knew Mukund Jijaji as a young girl, I was always awed by his dignified
demeanour and his command over the Hindi language. I will never forget him affectionately
teaching me that a railroad train should actually be referred to as ‘Loh Path Gaamini’.
Twists and turns of life and geographical distances made contact difficult over the years
but technology rectified all the void in recent times. My husband Ramesh and I enjoyed his
snippets of wisdom and updates of the family, and were comforted when he called us whenever
we went through sad times.
You left us too soon and too suddenly Jijaji. Will always miss you.
