Once in a lifetime, you meet a person and know that ‘words aren’t enough’ to describe
them. For Mr. Mukunddas Maheshwari, fondly known as Sethji, we felt the same
through our 4-decade old acquaintance with him as a family friend. There are some
traits which made him stand out - apart from his tall and lean stature.
We have always found him to be highly motivated, yet gentle, candid but sincere,
stubborn to unfairness and a giver in all sense. Being a learned man, his child like
interest and eagerness to acquire new knowledge and to be updated was commendable
and inspiring. He was a keen admirer of art and never hesitated in contributing to its
various facets including movies, play and music. There is so much to write about the
man he was, his values and the impact he left behind. But today, when we sit back to
remember the times spent in his presence, there is a lot that we have learnt from him.
Even as he is no longer among us, there is a strong & deep mark he has left behind. He
will be missed dearly by the ones who knew him and we feel sorry for those who
couldn’t meet him. We believe that he is now at a much better & peaceful place, a hassle
free world.

I am happy to know that you are organizing Shradhhanjali for Mukund Bhai, who was
so close to our hearts. He was a Member of the Central Zonal Advisory Board of LIC
consisting of UP, MP and Chhattisgarh and also represented LIC Jabalpur Division. He
was instrumental in spread of life insurance in Madhya Bharat Region.

We both were very close friends since 1962-63. Mukund was very sincere, faithful and
generous - always doing lot of charity work. When he was in America, it was real
pleasure to see him visiting and staying with us. Our last get together was in 2018. May
God let his soul rest in peace.
