                         What do you know about narrative text? Narrative text is a text, which

                   relates a    series of logically, and chronologically related events.

                         Have you ever heard of narrative stories in the district/city where you

                   live? Narrative texts include legends, fables, myths, and so on.

                         Do  you  know  why  there  is  narrative  text?  it  aims  to  entertain  the


                   readers with its interesting story. There are several narrative texts that you

                   are sure to hear often, such as malin kundang, sangkuriang, roro jonggrang,

                   and so on.


                     B.  Precondition


                       In the previous material, a cultural introduction regarding folk legends in

                   narrative texts has been presented. In order to understand this module, it is


                   hoped  that  you  have  read  material  about  the  benefits  of  introducing  folk

                   legends.  In  addition,  try  to  understand  the  local  social  and  cultural

                   characteristics  that  you  have  encountered.  If  you  have  met  these

                   prerequisites,  then  you  will  be  able  to  describe  narrative  text  and  its

                   influence on social life.
