Read the dialog:
Mother : Nina, please help me lay the table, will you?
Nina : Sure, mom
Mother : You know, your uncle and auntie will be here in a minute. we will have
dinner with them tonight.
Nina : Great! It will be joyous(cheerful).
The sentence “ Help me lay the table, will you?” is used to ask for help. Meanwhile The
sentence “ Sure Mom “ is a response showing that she agrees to give help.
The following are some expressions used to ask for, to give and refuse a help.

Would you help me, please? Ok. What can I do for you? I’m sorry, I can’t help you.
Will you help me, please? Sure/ I will. Sorry, I have something
