Abstract This paper presents a detailed study design and analysis of magnetorheological
elastomer damper for the engine mounting method. An experimental investigation was
conducted to design and analysis of engine mounting by using magnetorheological elastomer.
Magnetorheological elastomer was used to improve the engine mount system in order to try
and make improvement technology in the future of automotive industries today. Hence, this
kind of research needs to be done. Besides, previous studies have primarily concentrated on
comparing a technology MRE material suitable for car mounting by comparing the engine
mounting nowadays. The design was performed using Solidwork software. Then the simulation
of the analysis using Finite Element Magnetic Method for the magnetic coil conceptual in
magnetorheological elastomer model. The findings of this study suggest that the anisotropic
MRE has a much more significant MR effect than the isotropic MRE. In conclusion, this paper
will let readers know how effectively the MRE reacted to the magnetic field. As a smart
material, MRE will decrease the wide vibration on engine mounting.
