Chapter 1
Marla enjoyed playing cricket with her twin brother Marly. They
would play the game every evening after school. On weekends, the pasture
behind their house would become their pitch. Marly would often say to his
sister, “What a great player you are!” He would joke that she was just as
good as he, a remark which would bring high fives and loving smiles be-
tween the two. One evening, after a friendly game in the neighbourhood,
Marly complimented his sister by telling her that she was times better at
playing the game than the boys who had just played with them.
