Marly’s team won the toss and batted first. Marla was the opening bats-
man. She hit ball after ball and scored the most runs. Soon it was time for
the team to bowl and field. Marla took five wickets and three catches. The
crowd was waving and jumping as she took the last catch of the day.
Suddenly, a hush came over the field. As Marla jumped for that last catch,
her cap fell off. Her secret was out. Everyone realized that it was Marla and
not Marly who was the hero of the match. Marla felt nervous. She broke out
in a sweat. “ Will they be angry with me?” she quietly said to herself. She felt
hands holding her around the waist and realized it was her team mates who
were lifting her high in the air. This time they chant changed” Marla, Marla
