Chapter 2
The twin continued practicing with each other and improving daily. Soon
word began to spread about Marly’s skills and the boys in Hillaby decided to
challenge Marly and his friends to a game. Marly was thrilled and tried to con-
vince the other boys to allow his sister to play since she was just as good as he
was. However, the boys were against a girl playing on their team and refused to
allow Marla to be included in the team. Marla was very unhappy when she heard
that she would not be able to play but Marly told her not to worry because he
would do well for both of them. As the days went by, the only thing the twin
would talk about was the upcoming match. Marla became the coach for Marly
and helped him with his exercises and his bowling technique.
