Welcome to Kayseri
KAYSERİ CASTLE Kayseri Castle is a castle built in antiquity and first
mentioned in a coin during the rule of Gordian III between
238 and 244 AD. It went through multiple additions starting
with the Romans, continuing with the Byzantines,
Danishmends, Seljuqs, Dulqadirs, Karamanids, and
Ottomans. The castle , is made of an inner and an outer
section with a total of 18 towers.
KAPUZBAŞI WATERFALL The waterfall is located in Yahyalı district of Kayseri
province. The waterfalls took their name from Kapuzbaşı
village.It is 146 km from Kayseri to the waterfalls.Kapuzbaşı
waterfalls are the 2nd highest waterfall in the world after
Victoria Waterfall and consist of 7 waterfalls. When you
approach the waterfall, it is almost impossible to
understand each other due to the noise of the water.
ERCİYES MOUNT Mount Erciyes is a magnificent mountain with a height
of 3917 meters. It is in the southwest of Turkey's
Kayseri province.
There is always snow on the mountain, summer and
winter. Winter sports have started to develop in recent
years. Mountaineering sports are also available.
Mount Erciyes is on an extinct volcano. It had been in a
deep sleep for thousands of years. When he gets
angry, he sprays lava around him. The old name of
the mountain is Argoios.
"The Grand Bazaar, located in the Cumhuriyet
KAYSERİ GRAND BAZAAR District of Melikgazi District, is considered to be the
largest covered bazaar among the Grand Bazaars
after Istanbul. Built during the Ottoman period, it
was built by Hacı Efendi in 1844 and named after
him. It was demolished by the Governor of Kayseri in
1935. It is known that it was rebuilt almost in its
current form between 1987 and 1991. The bazaar
consists of shops lined up on the sides of streets
running parallel and perpendicular to each other in
north-south and east-west directions.
