Richard Simis

General Partner

Richard brings three decades of successful leadership to the team in his role as
President and CEO, with nearly $1 billion in construction completed by his companies.
His design analysis, construction oversight, contract negotiation, and project
management expertise result in on-time and on-budget completions. Richard is also
Founder and President of Simac Construction, a national general contractor and
development firm. His career began in single-family custom homes and multifamily
construction but his success in retail development for national multi-unit retailers is
what led him to expand Simac across the country.

Rudy Medina

As Development Advisor, Rudy handles the acquisition and marketing of Next Space’s
unique product, playing an integral role in cutting-edge design application focused on
contemporary versions of timeless Craftsman, Spanish, and Mid-Century architecture.
He has been involved in the acquisition and development of more than $200 million
of commercial and residential real estate in San Diego County with an emphasis on
multifamily projects. Rudy was a Founder and former President of Del Mar Heritage
Development and Construction, where he led the acquisition and development of
commercial urban infill real estate opportunities from 1996 to 2006.
