In the middle of the bustling spaces of hawker centres,
lip-smacking aromas of delicious delicacies waft all
around the centres. Hawkers are our unsung heroes. They
sell mouthwatering dishes at affordable prices. There
is an array of stalls under one roof. I am always spoilt
for choice every time I visit them. These multicultural
cuisines and the gastronomical delights always make my
mouth water.
Hawkers are generous. They usually give you extra
food. Hawkers also have photographic memory like a
superpower. Not only can hawkers remember where
many people sit, but they can also remember what they
ordered while working on three different dishes! Isn’t it
fascinating!
Better still, they even personally go to you and serve is the best way to spend quality time with family over
the food! Hawkers must be efficient. Without them, we great food. This is probably why the hawker culture
would not be able to get delicious food quickly. in Singapore has been awarded the UNESCO Cultural
Heritage.
The hawkers’ food is delicious beyond words. These
