Eco-Solution 2: Replacement of Fluorescent Bulbs with LEDs
In addition to implementing PIR sensors, the team proposed replacing the current fluorescent bulbs with energy-efficient
LED lights in the warehouse, specifically at level 4. The estimated power consumption and associated CO2 emissions of 45
LED lights are shown in Table 6.
Table 6: Estimated annual power consumption and CO2 equivalent of
lighting after installation of 45 LED lights, Eco-Solution 2
Total savings: 3078.84- $1839,15= 1239 CO2 Emission reduction:
13386.47- 7996.34= 5389.66 kg % C02 saving for warehouse during
office hour = 40% (extra savings)
Eco-Solution 3: Increased Placement of Energy-Saving Reminders
As a supplementary measure to promote energy conservation, the ESI team suggested the placement of additional staff
reminders to save energy on the walls to prompt staff to switch off lights and air-conditioning units when not in use,
particularly after office hours (see Figure 4).
