Student’s Reflection

While working on this project, I had numerous insights in the business operations of small
and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Singapore, and their potential contributions to
environmental improvement. One important lesson I acquired from this experience is the
importance of teamwork. Collaborating in teams not only enhances efficiency but also
broadens perspectives, with each member bringing forth a diverse array of unique and
innovative ideas.

Moreover, this project underscored the critical significance of environmental consciousness.
It instilled in me an appreciation for the environment and the impact of heightened carbon
emissions. Recognising the urgency of addressing climate change, I now understand the
imperative of reducing our carbon footprint in our daily lives.

David Tanapol Overall, this project has been an invaluable learning experience for me. I am deeply grateful
to the company for giving us the opportunity to partake in such a meaningful endeavour and
for their commitment to environmental stewardship.

I have gained much awareness about the urgency of combating climate change, particularly
with the rising sea levels. This project has provided a unique opportunity for me to collaborate
with individuals I hadn’t previously known, forming friendships while collectively striving to
safeguard the planet and mitigate climate change.

One challenge I encountered was finding the time to commit to the project amidst a busy
schedule filled with school tests and exams. However, I managed to overcome this hurdle
by maximising my study time during commutes and in school libraries, ensuring that I could
maintain academic excellence while contributing to the project.
