LED Bulbs
As part of the carbon reduction strategy, the team Figure 5: Passive Infrared LED bulb
recommended a straightforward solution involving the
replacement of existing bulbs with Passive Infrared LED
bulbs (Figure 5), to yield further increased carbon savings by
enhancing energy efficiency within the warehouse.
Conclusion
This project has enabled ForeFront Medical to embrace environmental sustainability practices and reduce carbon emissions.
It has provided a valuable learning opportunity for the ESI student team, to reduce energy usage and waste. Throughout the
project, the team has gained confidence in presenting ideas to the company management team.
The implemented eco-solutions are projected to yield significant results, with an estimated CO2 emission reduction of at
least 2,278.96 kg and cost savings of approximately $524.16 annually. This contributes to cost savings for the company and
promotes the preservation of the environment for future generations.
