Wen Hong Engineering Services Pte Ltd
Introduction
In today's energy-conscious world, managing electrical consumption has become a critical challenge for businesses seeking to
optimise operational costs and reduce their environmental footprint. Wen Hong, a distinguished project management company
established in 2006, has emerged as a leading provider of security solutions, specialising in the installation of advanced security
cameras, access control systems, and intrusion detection systems. From its humble beginnings to its current position as an
industry leader, the company has grown to employ over 50 skilled professionals, serving a diverse clientele, including security
agencies and multinational corporations.
Recently, Wen Hong, operating from their three-story facility at Toh Guan Enterprise Hub, has encountered a significant
challenge: unusually high power consumption, averaging 4,000 kWh per month, as evidenced by their six-month consumption
data. (See Figure 1). This concerning trend has prompted the company to seek innovative solutions through a collaborative
partnership with ITE to investigate and identify the root causes of this excessive energy usage.

Through this collaboration with ITE, Wen Hong aims to leverage technical expertise to conduct a comprehensive energy
audit and develop practical solutions. This initiative aligns with Wen Hong's commitment to sustainability and innovation,
demonstrated by their recent adoption of advanced technologies, including AI-driven security systems and exploration of
sustainable energy solutions. The project represents a crucial step in Wen Hong's journey toward operational efficiency and
environmental responsibility.
Environmental Review
Enterprise Hub, positioned at 48 Toh Guan Road East in District 22, houses Wen Hong's three-story, 4,000-square-foot facility.
This strategic location, well-connected via the Pan Island Expressway and Commonwealth Avenue West, serves as the opera-
tional base for this growing security solutions provider.
The facility's environmental review reveals a complex energy consumption pattern across its three distinct levels. The ground
floor, serving multiple functions, including a storefront, storage area, and staff common area, contributes significantly to the
energy footprint. This level houses energy-intensive appliances, including a washer, dryer, water heater, portable cookers, and
