Presentation of Data
Table 1. Overall projected amount and savings of the Eco-solution annual before/after implementation
The team gathered the above annual resource consumption through our calculations of carbon footprint during the formulation
of the recipe phase. Kindness Meat's carbon footprint measures at 3.5 kg CO2/kg meat patty vs traditional beef patty at 60 kg
CO2/kg - more than 20 times less carbon footprint emissions. The total Reduction of annual CO2 emissions is 94% with a cost
savings of 50% at $5760
Table 2. Cost Breakdown for Eco-Solution
Table 2 illustrates the estimated total cost used to formulate the kindness meat patty for the sustainable beef burger. A total
of $300 was projected for the purchase of meat paste, $300 for sauce and other ingredients to make the burger and $2200 for
the overall prototype.
Potential Carbon and Cost Savings for Singapore
The cost of 1kg of raw beef is approximately $32, while the price of 1kg of sustainable meat is roughly $16. We extrapolate it
with the amount of sustainable beef sold. The cost savings for every kilogram of sustainable meat used will be 50%. In terms of
value, it will be $480 per month in 1 outlet. Annually, cost savings will be $5760 in 1 outlet. If 10% of F&B outlets in Singapore
switch to our beef, it will be $5760 x 1400 outlets = $8064000 savings per year.
*Singapore has approximately 14000 F&B outlets as of 2025, according to Google.
