Dom’s Bad Eye Random Observations of an RPV fan/volunteer
1) Jersey away
It was great fun touring with the players. Very bonding. Committee made
sure to get a separate hotel away from the boys though. I’m a bit too old & fat
for 3am wrestling. Ha! Seriously though they are a really great bunch of lads
and the gaffer was professional at all times. Absolutely no alcohol was con-
sumed at all and no airport trolleys had to be used as makeshift wheelchairs
for the inebriated, whatsoever. We all had a great time away. Highly recom-
mended.
2) Farnham at home
The 4-4 draw. I was thinking how im-
portant Wazza’s scrambled goal was to
make it 3-4 in the 82nd minute. Gave
the team hope to push on and then
Archie won a pen for Sen to slot for 4-4.
A draw. More importantly, it wasn’t a
loss. It kept our unbeaten run going and
we have kicked on superbly since. Just
sayin’. OPEN EVERY DAY
3) Farnham at home pt 2
I was on Twitter duties as usual trying to
report on the game. God its hard when 8 BLOSSOM & BREW is situated
goals are going in per game. You hardly
see the game as yer tweeting away. An- outside the Raynes Park Vale FC
yway, 2nd half at 3-4 down. I’m behind
the lower Grand Drive goal by the dugout side corner flag. The ball goes out ground off Grand Drive
of play, across the path and settles on some mud. I run to retrieve the ball,
chuck it back to Eoin Fraser but can’t get out of the mud. I’m sinking. Then
Archie wins a pen! After also getting caught in the brambles I manage to get
one foot out. I hobble along, one shoe on, one off just in time to film Seanan’s
penalty on the iphone. Groundsman Steve had to retrieve said shoe out of
the quagmire as it wasn’t coming out without a spade. Caked they were. Had
to drive home in me socks but very happy as we didn’t lose.
Come on the Raynes Park!
