Happy spring everyone!
I hope you are all enjoying all the beautiful flowers and trees I have been noticing around campus! It’s so nice
to look around and see the wonderful gifts of spring. We have so many wonderful gifts inside our school
building as well... our students! They bring a smile to my face every day. Whether I’m in the classrooms for
SEL or just walking down the hallway our students make this a truly happy place.
I would like to thank Ella Greene who has been interning with me since
February. Ella has been a pleasure to have here at St. Joes! She has spent time
with me in the classrooms, in my office, and even lunch duty! She is completing
her internship the end of April. Congratulations Ella! Your one step closer to
being a certified school counselor!
God bless you and yours!

Catholic Math League
Contests
In order to
challenge our students
to excel above and
beyond the grade level,
St. Joseph Grade School
is committed to give the
students the
opportunity to compete
against other students
in the State of NJ as well
as nationally.
This year for the 6th time students in grade 5 accelerated math, grade 6, grade 7 , Pre-Algebra (7th
and 8th grades), and Alg.-I (8th grade) have participated in a 4-part Catholic Math League competition. The
scores have been submitted online, and the top 3 scores in each level will make up the final scores for our
school. I am proud to announce that amid covid-19 pandemic and the difficulties of education for the 2020-
2021 school year, our students did great in each grade level. Saint Joseph Grade School Alg. I Team came first
in our Division.
Saint Joseph Grade School students in Grades 5 to 8 have also been participating in NJ Math League
for many years. This year Grades 6 to 8 took the test online. In 6th Grade, our school is ranked 3rd place in
Ocean County, with Gavin Oliver ranking 3rd in the region. In 7th and 8th grades, for both, our school ranked
4th place in Ocean County.
Congratulations to our hard working students, supportive parents, teachers, and administrators.
