Hello SJGS Families!

Though the days were long and the year went by quickly, we find ourselves
almost at the end of a school year that gave its all to be the longest year in history!
And if you don’t feel like it went by quickly, just take a minute and ask an 8th grade
parent!
We are fast approaching Graduation and with it, the accompanying
celebrations. The PTA is looking forward to hosting the 8th grade dance, as well as flooding the school’s front
lawn on Hooper Ave with congratulatory signs for all of our graduates. The order form for yard signs should
have come home in your 8th grader’s Wednesday folder. It is also available on the school website and our
social media channels.
Thanks go out to all who joined us Dining Out at Tony’s Pasta
House & Gourmet Pizzeria on April 22nd. While the numbers aren’t back
yet, we know that backup had to be called to Tony’s due to the sheer
number of you Dining Out or calling for pick up. THANK YOU THANK YOU
THANK YOU. We couldn’t do all that we do for our staff and students if it
weren’t for your stellar turnout to our monthly events.
We also appreciate all those who participated in our Ob-CO’s
Donut Fundraiser and our Spring Seed Sale. The Seed Sale was our
second most profitable fundraiser of the year
and, due to the overwhelmingly popular nature of the sale, we have decided to
leave the website up for orders until May 15th ... just in case you want to order
more seeds or need to replace a plant or two after last weeks surprise frost.
Now I’m sure you’re wondering “What was the most successful
fundraiser?!” No surprise there: Used Uniform Sales! If your child has outgrown a
uniform, graduated (8th grade parents!), or you have more than you can use -
please consider donating your clean uniforms to the Used Uniform Sale. We are in
need of high demand items such a skorts (size 10 and up), Pre-K3 & 4 and
kindergarten sized uniforms, and Spirit Wear! Did you know you can donate Spirit Wear your child has
outgrown?! We will accept donations of all sizes of uniforms during our 8th Grade Graduate Uniform Drive,
to be held during the last week of school. More information regarding the location and dates to follow -

School Spirit Wear continues to be available in the online shop (https://stores.farrostees.com/
st_joseph_pta) Free pick up is available from Farro’s Tees on Fischer Blvd., or you may choose to have your
Spirit wear shipped directly to you. Got an idea for spirit wear you’d like us to consider making available?

Keep scanning those Box Tops for Education! Remember to select the “credit” button (after your first
receipt picture) and type in your teacher’s name! The classroom that scans the most Box Tops before the end
of the marking period will earn a pass for a dress-down day! Please watch our social media channels for

As always, we love to hear your ideas so that we can continue to offer fundraisers that appeal to all of
our families throughout the course of the school year. We are a
reflection of your community spirit and participation.
