Spartan Athletics

The SJGS Baseball team has waited for over a year to hear those famous words,
"PLAY BALL"!!!!
The SJGS baseball team defeated St. Rose of Belmar 10-3. TJ Manning pitched
a great game throwing 95 pitches and having 10 strikeouts. Tommy Conroy had 4 extra
base hits including a triple. The Spartans were defeated by a very good St. Leo squad in
their next outing 11-3.
Our track team has had two meets so far. Our team is very young and these were the first meets ever
for many of our track athletes. However, the kids did great with numerous top five finishes. The team shows
lots of promise for a strong rest of the season. The schedule gets busy from here on out with six events
scheduled in the last month of the season which includes 2 home meets at the Donovan Catholic Track:
Saturday, May 8 – St Benedict & St Dominic at 9:00am and Thursday, May 13 – St Leo @ 5:00pm.
Our tennis clinic for grades 6-8 started this week with 14 students participating under the coaching of
Mr. Dudley. It is wonderful to see so many of our students participating!

The SCRIP selling year with credits applied to

purchase made on or after 4/1/21 will be applied to the
