completed applications to be submitted is May 17, 2021. Applicants can
expect to hear back from FACTS, 4-6 weeks after this due date.
As we move into this last part of the school year; I ask any
families who have not re-enrolled their children for next school year to
please take a few minutes and get this done. There are no monies to pay;
only 3 easy forms to complete. Your help in this matter will give us the
true number of students returning for the 2021/2022 school year. We
very much appreciate your attention to this matter!

News from Mr. Tobin’s 6th Grade Religion
During our Lenten Journey, 6th grade religion students read the Gospel from
each week beginning with Ash Wednesday through Divine Mercy Sunday. We
examined the Gospels in detail, used reflection questions to facilitate
classroom discussions, and connected the Lenten Gospels to our previous
readings of Jesus’ teachings and our developing understanding of our Catholic
heritage. We also discovered that on Divine Mercy Sunday (John 20:19-31),
the gift that would become “sacramental confession” was bestowed upon the
faithful. Our discussion focused on why the name “Divine Mercy” was
appropriate for this day as revealed in the Gospel and why this is an
appropriate way to conclude the Easter Octave. St. Pope John Paul II stated in
his Divine Mercy Sunday homily in 2001, “Divine Mercy! This is the Easter gift
that the Church receives from the risen Christ and offers to humanity.” Of the
reflection questions we shared in class, I leave you with this one for your
family to discuss…”How do I seek out and receive the Divine Mercy of Christ in
my own life?”
