Colour The Colour Index is the world’s most authoritative method

of colorant classification system available internationally.
It is used by industry, governments, legislators, regulators,
Index universities and research institutes in day to day activities

and in innovative research to provide a basis for a long
term future for the coloration industry.

The organisation of the Colour Index is carried out by working with
industry and associated industry bodies such as the Color Pigments
Manufacturers Association (CPMA) and ETAD.

New innovative structures are being registered within the database and
new companies are registering some of these products.

In 2017 around 7,000 edits on the Colour Index took place, helping to
ensure it is up to date and relevant.
