           Events











           SDC events showcase the latest research and best practice in coloration. They provide education,
           inspiration and networking. SDC events are regional, national and international, with wide ranging topics
           and diverse audiences. Many are free to attend, with a strong focus on supporting students and young
           professionals. The SDC also jointly organises events and participates in events organised by others,
           thereby spreading the SDC’s educational reach and profile.


           Hong Kong                                             The highlight in 2017 was SDC HK’s annual seminar and dinner.

                                                                 A regular programme of industry events took place on a wide
                                                                 range of topics.

                                                                 Sri Lanka
                                                                 The SDC organised an International Summit on Textile Coloration
                                                                 in Sri Lanka in March 2017. This was followed, in November,
                                                                 by a second international conference and the grand final of the
                                                                 SDC International Design Competition. The events in Sri Lanka
                                                                 are linked to the SDC’s wider development in the region,
                                                                 including the promotion of the colour education pathway
                                                                 and growing membership.

                                                                 UK
                                                                 UK highlights for 2017 included the annual Day of Celebration.
                                                                 In 2017 we welcomed 200 members and guests from around
                                                                 the world, as well as representatives from kindred bodies and
                                                                 partner organisations.


                                                                 The UK regions continued to deliver an excellent programme
                                                                 of events providing career tips, technical advice and
                                                                 networking opportunities.
