          SDC Enterprises

           www.sdcenterprises.co.uk

SDC Enterprises is a wholly owned subsidiary
of the SDC. The consolidated results of the SDC
           Enterprises Group (incorporating SDCE Enterprises
Limited (SDCE) and Sam Weller and Sons
Limited (SW)) demonstrated a strong financial
           performance in 2017.

Funds transferred to the SDC will be 24% higher than the sum
forecast in the acquisition business plan. This is the result of
a comparable growth in turnover made by the SDCE Group during
2017, whilst product margins were maintained and overheads
           remained stable.

Positive market conditions continued during 2017 and, with
the increased manufacturing capacity delivered in 2016,
expanded again during 2017, the group was able to fully exploit
the upswing in trade. The export market for SW products also
increased following greater promotional activity overseas.

The SDCE Group is ahead of target in delivering the current
diversification and growth strategy, where forecasts are in place
until the end of 2019, and expect to deliver the budgeted funds
to the SDC in 2018 and 2019.

           Standards

The SDC holds the secretariat for both the BSI and ISO committees responsible for Colour
Fastness and Colour Measurement (TCI 81 and TC38 SC1 respectively). Contracts to hold
these were renewed in 2016 and the SDC took on the responsibility of the ISO secretariat
from our partner in China who organised the committees in the previous three years.

The SDC also has representatives on a number of other BSI committees and regularly comments on standards where
colour is mentioned be this in safety of toys or in identification of substances.
