           Governance/Trustees






           The SDC By-laws state that the Trustee Board shall comprise of:
           Nine voting members elected from the Voting Members of the SDC.
           In addition the CEO, Honorary Treasurer, Honorary Secretary and up
           to three co-optee members are entitled to attend meetings.


           Two Trustees are appointed to represent the SDC on the
           Board of SDC Enterprises, an SDC wholly owned trading
           subsidiary, as Trustee Directors. In 2017 these were
           John Morris and Trevor Lambourne.


           Trustees retire after three years of office and may
           re-stand for election for a second term of office.
           The SDC Honorary Secretary and Treasurer positions are for
           a period of three years.

           Sean McCaffrey – retired AGM 2017

           Catherine Rustomji, a recognised governance expert, provides
           regular training and advice. Susan Sedgwick, a regarded finance
           expert, provides regular training and advice.

           The SDC’s Annual Report and Accounts are available on both the
           SDC and Charity Commission websites.
