My Pet

We have a pet in our house. It is
a dog. My brother adopted him after our
first pet dog died. My dog is a male. He is
a cross breed of German Shepherd and a
street dog. His name is ‘Roger’. We named
him Roger because we liked that name.
The meaning of Roger means ‘Yes’.

He is medium in size and black in
color. He has triangular ears and a pointy
face. He eats rice, vegetables and meat at
lunch and dinner time. He eats biscuits or
bread for breakfast and snacks. He likes
to play with his ball and he loves to play
fetch.

I also taught him two tricks. He
sits when I snap my finger above his head.
When I show him a treat and ask him to
turn around he turns around. We bathe
him once a month. We take him to the
vet for check up and routine vaccines. We
comb his hair once every two days.

Sometimes he makes the house
messy and breaks my toys. But he is quite
well- mannered in front of the guests. He
barks and alerts us when a new person en-
ters our house. My brothers take him for
a walk every morning and evening. We all
love him and take good care of him.
