3.2) Fire and Explosion Precautions

 Keep the scarifier and surrounding areas clean at all times.

 Never store fuel or other flammable materials near the scarifier.

3.3) Mechanical Precautions

 Prior to performing service, maintenance, or cleaning procedures, always makes
sure the switch is in its “OFF” position.

 Do not alter or adjust any part of the scarifier that is assembled and supplied by
the manufacturer.

 Always follow and complete scheduled preventive maintenance and routine
service plan (page 12) maintenance.

3.4) Electrical Precautions

 Do not spray water on the electrical parts of the machine on CES-200E.

 Do not modify the electrical components of the machine on CES-200E.

3.5) Misc. Precautions

Prolonged exposure to noise levels above 85 dBA is hazardous to hearing. Always
wear approved hearing protection when operating or working around the scarifier when it
is running.

People with pacemakers should consult their physician(s) before use.
Electromagnetic fields in close proximity to heart pacemaker could cause pacemaker
interference or pacemaker failure. Caution is necessary when near engine’s magneto or
recoil starter.
