Checking Hea ng Elements
1. Shut o the main disconnect on the M1’s Power Control Panel (Photo 5).
2. Shut o the main disconnect at the generator (Photo 2)
3. Open the M1’s Power Control Panel door
4. Switch all the hea ng element breakers to the “o ” posi on.
5. Use a Mul meter to check the Ohm’s reading on the element side (le ) of each breaker. The Ohm readings should be around 42 to 45 Ohms each.
6. Once you have taken the readings, turn the breakers back to the “on” posi on, close the panel door and turn the M1 back on.

Shutdown
When soil/sludge temperatures indicate that a batch is completed (typically, soil/sludge temperatures between 350F and 650F), the M1 Power Control Panel’s main disconnect switch can be switched to the “o ” posi on.
1. Switch the generators main disconnect switch to the “o ” posi on.
2. Disconnect the electrical feed line from the M1’s Power Control Panel (Photo 3)
3. Remove thermocouple probes from the sludge/soil. CAUTION: These thermocouple probes will be
hot from exposure to the sludge/soil.
The unit is ready to unload.
