               2.  Parallelogram

                             What is a Parallelogram?

                             Parallelogram is a quadrilateral whose sides are mutually opposite

                             and the same length

                                                        The parallelogram beside is called parallelogram
                                                        ABCD A, B, C and D. While the sides are AB, BC,

                                                        CD and DA. The length of AB=DC, while the

                                                        length of AB=BC. AB is parallel to DC, AD is
                                                        parallel with BC.

               From the picture above we can conclude the properties of a parallelogram:

                    1.  Has 4 sides

                    2. Opposite sides are equal and parallel

                    3. The diagonals bisect each other

                    4.  Opposite angles are equal

                    5. Does not have folding symmetry

                    6.  Has 2 rotational symmetries

                                        Area of a parallelogram =    ×

                                               Around = 2 x (a + b)
