               8.  Trapezoid








                          What is a trapezoid ?

                          Trapezoid  is  a  build  the  right  quadrilateral  has  pair  of  parallel

                          opposite sides.




                                                        Take a look at the picture on the side.

                                                        The wake beside is a trapezoid A B C D. Trapezoid

                                                        ABCD  has  parallel  sides  AD  and  BC  and  can  be
                                                        written AD//BC. AB, BC, CD and DA are the sides

                                                        of the trapezoid. The longest side of the trapezoid is

                                                        called the base (AB).




               From the picture above we can conclude the properties of a trapezoid :


                    1.  Has 4 sides

                    2.  The sides are not the same length

                    3.  The diagonals do not bisect the same length

                    4.  Has 1 rotational symmetry
