Pine-Richland High School
Q: How will the try-outs for Dance Team and Color Guard be addressed? How
will Drum Majors for the Marching Band be selected?
A: Details and information regarding selection of Marching Band Drum Majors and Drum Line
and Color Guard and Dance Team Tryouts will be communicated to all students in grades 8
through 11 on Friday, May 1. The information will be posted on the PRHS Marching Band
website in addition to the high school home page.
Q: How will student government elections be held for the 2020-2021 school year?
A: Student government is holding elections with speeches delivered virtually. Voting will
continue to be an online process as it has been in recent years.

Q: How will student government elections be held for the 2020-2021 school year?
A: Student government elections will be held virtually. Upcoming 8th graders, please email Mrs.
Kelly at ckelly@pinerichland.org if you are interested in running to be president, vice-
president, secretary, treasurer, volunteer coordinator, or social director.
Q. Will PRMS have a Merit Scholars Ceremony?
A: Yes. The Merit Scholars Ceremony will be created virtually and sent to all Merit Scholars.
Q. Will 8th grade students receive recognition for Perfect Attendance, President’s
Award for Educational Excellence, Pittsburgh Foundation Award, and the
American: Legion Post #161 Awards?
A: The PRMS TV club will create an informational program to recognize those students who
have earned these awards.
Q: When can students pick up their artwork?
A: When students are able to access the building the students will have the opportunity to pick
up their art projects. This will be communicated at a later date.
Eden Hall Upper Elementary
Q: Will students in sixth grade still have an end of the year celebration
ceremony?
A: We do not have enough information to answer this question at this point. We will continue to
monitor the health and safety guidelines from the state and CDC and will update the community
as we are able. Alternative plans for celebrating our students are being reviewed.
