Welcome message
Welcome to the summer edition of LiveWire!
Summer is here, the sun is shining, and we are finally able to enjoy more of what life is about: meeting friends, family, colleagues and making memories along the way. We can’t wait to see lots of you at our upcoming industry events.
Over the coming months we have lots to look forward to. Collectively, we have warmer and longer days hopefully filled with sunshine, but as an industry we have the return of some of our events to keep spirits high.
Already we have had some industry favourite events
The beginning of 2021 has been undoubtedly
as tough as 2020, and while we have all made adaptations to a new normal, the sacrifices we have all made have been enormous. Throughout this difficult period our industry has remained united. We have come together to continue to support our sector colleagues in different ways. The Charity hosted our first-ever entirely virtual event – The Race Across Europe – which raised over £15,000 to support our industry. We have also seen many organisations undertake step challenges and more to raise much- needed funds.

Alongside our industry events we continue to provide mental health training to both the sector and wider business community. We have trained thousands in Mental Health First Aider Training and continue to provide awareness training for employees and managers plus wellbeing courses.
Do your staff know what support is available to them?
The EIC has several workplace programmes that are extremely beneficial to employers and employees, which function as industry-specific employee assistance programmes (or EAPs). Member benefits are available free to anyone in the industry and their immediate family members, offering a broad range of benefits designed to help in times of need.
