are Christ's have crucified the flesh.” They

have repented of sin; they have put their

faith in Jesus Christ; they have renounced

their former life and have begun on the

straight and narrow path.

In Acts chapter 2 we find the first sermon

at Pentecost after Christ ascended into

Heaven. After the preaching of Christ, the

apostle Peter was asked in verse 37, “What

should we do?” and Peter replied in verse

38, “Repent, and be baptized every one of

you in the name of Jesus Christ for the

remission of sins, and ye shall receive the

gift of the Holy Ghost.” The instruction to

be baptized doesn't scare me there. I don't

have to finagle around with it. Those who
