they received eternal life. And then verse 18
says, “When they heard these things, they
held their peace, and glorified God, saying,
Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted
repentance unto life.”
In Acts chapter 17, verses 30 and 31, we
find that Paul is on Mars Hill, this time
preaching to Gentiles and idol worshippers,
and he says, “And the times of this
ignorance God winked at; but now
commandeth all men every where to
repent: Because he hath appointed a day,

in the which he will judge the world in
righteousness by that man whom he hath
ordained; whereof he hath given assurance
unto all men, in that he hath raised him
