             continent and across America.  William Miller,


             a  Baptist  preacher,  predicted  the  end  of  the


             world in 1844.  He began in 1843, but I’m just


             kind  of  summarizing  some  things  here  this



             evening.  He predicted the end of the world in


             1844 with Christ’s coming, and when Christ did


             not  appear,  there  was  a  great  –  it’s  called



             actually  “The  Great  Disappointment”  to  the


             followers of the Millerites, and William Miller


             actually  later  apologized  to  his  followers  and



             said  he  was  wrong  about  the  date  of  Christ’s


             coming.   But  one  little  flock  insisted  that  the


             date was right but that Christ did not come to the



             earth but He entered into the Holy of Holies in


             the  heavenly  sanctuary  to  begin  what  they


             called “The Investigative Judgment,” and this


             doctrine was received and it was endorsed by



             Ellen  White.   William  Miller  apologized  for
