is a cult?” A cult is anything that veers away
from orthodoxy. When we speak of orthodox,
we’re speaking of that which is consistent with
well-tested Bible Christianity over the last 2,000
years. And so we find that Seventh-Day
Adventists have had a problem with the Person
and the work of the Lord Jesus Christ, and we
find that they have set dates. Did not Jesus
Christ say no man knoweth the hour nor the
day? They have set dates based upon Daniel 8,
verse 14. And even though the leader of this
movement, who finally separated himself,
admitted that he was wrong, some of the
followers kept saying, “No, you’re not wrong. It’s
just that Christ didn’t come to the earth. What
He did is He went into the Holy of Holies in
Heaven to bring about atonement for the sins of
people upon the earth.”
