because it knew him not.” We're followers
of Christ. The world hated Christ; they
persecuted Christ, and He said the world will
hate us and they will persecute us. First
John chapter 3, verse 13, says, “Marvel not,
my brethren, if the world hate you,” and
verse 12 gives an illustration: “Not as
Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew
his brother. And wherefore slew he him?
Because his own works were evil, and his
brother's righteous.” Now, think about that.
Why was Christ hated? Because He was
from Heaven; He was righteous; He came to
not only die for sins, but He came to reveal
sin and reveal righteousness. They hated
Him, and we find in John 15 that they hated
Him without a cause. Why did Cain murder
