Preacher, as well, and he says in verse 12, “I

the Preacher was king over Israel in

Jerusalem.” Well, Solomon was the only son

of David that was a king over all Israel in

Jerusalem because under his son Rehoboam,

the kingdom was divided. So I do believe

that Solomon is the author of this book.

And this is just an opinion and I think

others feel this way, but the Song of

Solomon was probably written early in

Solomon’s life. The book of Proverbs was

written probably in mid-life or during the

time that Solomon is learning wisdom and

walking with God. But Ecclesiastes appears

to be written toward the end of Solomon's

life, and it is a record of his repentance for
