vanities; all is vanity” — and this is true, by

the way, if we’re not walking with the Lord.

And he says, ”What profit hath a man of all

his labour which he taketh under the sun?”

This book shows you and me the

emptiness of life when we try to live it

without God, whether we're lost or whether

we're a Christian. There are different rounds

of vanity that are mentioned in this book.

Chapter 1 kind of sets the tone for the entire

book. In other words, if life is vain — and it

is if we're not saved — then how do we

enjoy life? That's what this book is showing

us. This book opens here in the first chapter

with a fallen world revealing its vanity and
